  • Brodic

    Brodic

Like hanging out by the river? How about a pizza?

Relaxed atmosphere, plain and simple place to hang out. Outside the city center but not out of reach.
Nice view to Ada bridge and delicious pizza. Regular prices. Simply joy.

Can be pain to wait for pizza if it’s crowded.

    Tip: Koza Nostra or Corn

  • Burger House

    Burger House

After a long day (or night) you want something to fill you up. Maybe some burger?

If you like a good burger you should definitely visit Burger house. They make great and juicy beef burgers.
You should note that it’s a small place but they have few seats outside when the weather is nice.

Their burgers are not on the cheap side but are worth the money.

Tip: Standard burger + cheddar, add honey-mustard or parmesan-garlic sauce. Home made fries are a must!

  • Aleksandar club

    Aleksandar club

If you’re looking for a place with a view try Alekandar club (Ski staza). Situated on the hill overlooking the Ada bridge it’s a good place to have a cup coffee and enjoy the scenery. Also, it’s in the middle of the Kosutnjak forest so if you feel like hiking you can go for a walk just minutes from there.

There is a café and a restaurant if you feel hungry. During the winter it turns in mountain ski hut with a fireplace to keep you warm. You can even go skiing there but it’s a short track so it’s mostly for the kids to enjoy. During summer some events and concerts are held there. Caffe (tower-like wooden building) has smoking and the non-smoking floor inside.

Note: can get crowded during weekends when the weather is nice.

  • Marukoshi

    Marukoshi

Marukoshi is not just a ramen place, it is a little part of Japan teleported to Belgrade. As soon as it opened its doors it was an instant hit.

There is no sushi on the menu, but everything else there is authentic Japanese. There is tempura, gyoza, miso, ramen, udon, tonkatsu, and daifuku-mochi.

People who own the place brought a piece of Japan with their family recipes. They make their own noodles and they do it well.

    Tip…Miso ramen all the way!

  • Corso Korzo

    Corso Korzo

White and clean Corso is one of the best-looking splav (rafts) restaurants on river Sava.

Great place to sit, unwind and enjoy the view. Because it has no walls transparent architecture gives you the perfect view of a river. It’s open year round but during summer it has two open decks to enjoy outside. Prices are moderate and the service is good.

Watch out it can get crowded during weekends when people go for a walk and a drink. Come before 11h and get the best spot.

  • Intergalactic diner

    Intergalactic diner

Ever watched Pulp fiction? If you know the scene where John Travolta talks about 5 dollar milkshake and you want to try something similar go to the Intergalactic diner.

Perfectly located in two locations on Vracar and Zemun you can try some of the best burgers in Belgrade. Feel the atmosphere of a full American diner. Oh, and the jukeboxes work too, just bring some 5 RSD coins or ask a bartender for coins and play some evergreen and rock music.

Need some tips? Try Multiverse or Enterprise with Chili cheese fries on the side.

  • Klemenza

    Klemenza

Want some good meat sandwiches? The Klemenza has got all you need.

Sandwiches are made with pulled pork or beef meat in some special sauces. Also, there are some good craft beers to make it even better.

There are few options to choose from both pork and beef. I recommend Don Porketa or Kalabreze.

  • Crna ovca

    Crna ovca

Who doesn’t love ice cream? Located in Kralja Petra Street you can find one of the best artisan ice cream shops in Belgrade and even Europe I dare to say. Serbia has got plenty of fresh fruit which these guys turn into something even better. Similar to Moritz ice they are open all year round. They have amazing standard flavors but they always put new stuff for ice cream lovers to try.

There are few seats inside so don’t expect to fit a larger group. Also, you can have ice cream delivered to you anywhere in the city. One regular scoop is around 120 RSD (1 euro)

If you love ice cream this place must be on your itinerary.

Tip: Walnut, hazelnut, and gianduia are a must. Raspberry and Chocolate H2O are also in my top 5.

  • Bagel Bejgl

    Bagel Bejgl

If you’ve been to NY you know that lox and bagels are iconic food there. For a taste of NY in Belgrade you should definitely visit Bejgl bagel store. They make fresh bagels every day and even do catering.

It’s a small and hard to find place but totally worth the search. There are few options to choose from, both salty and sweet.

Bagels taste even better when you find out that this place was made for a noble cause. It is made to support the combat against human trafficking.

Tip: Apart from NY salmon bagel one of my sweet favorites is Nutella Cherry.

  • Ada Ciganlija

    Ada Ciganlija

Ada Ciganlija is one of the most visited places in Belgrade, and for a good reason. You can go swimming, biking, rollerblading or just enjoy a walk by the lake. The place is full of bars and restaurants and most of them work all year long. During the summer it can get crowded with a seaside atmosphere.

Lake is pretty clean and you can go for a swim if you like. There are lifeguards on duty during the summer season. There’s even a nudist beach at the end of the lake. Most of the bars have their own places on the beach with sunbeds and umbrellas with no extra charge for the guests. In the evening some of the places have live music or some other shows. Some of the bars have sports games on video beams.

You can rent bicycles, rollerblades, pedal boats or you can try waterskiing. Beach sports like beach volley are also available.

You can get to Ada by public transport or a car. Entrance to the lake is FREE. On the lake itself, you can walk or take a truck train (around 150 RSD). There are several train stations on a lake with around 20 minutes schedule (in season). The walking strip around the lake is about 7 km long and will take you about an hour and a half to go around.

One of the most annoying things can be a slow service in bars and cafes especially if it’s crowded during the summer. So get your patience ready and enjoy your stay. If you go off-season it’s a beautiful place to go for a walk and relax.
