  • Zrno

    Zrno

You woke up in the middle of Belgrade. Maybe even a bit dizzy from all that rakija you tried last night.

Zrno is a small cafeteria that can make you feel better. With some great blends as well as single origin coffee you can find the perfect anti-venom to get you through the day.

Tip: Try their home Santo Grano Red or go for the real deal Jamaican Blue Mountain.

    Location
    Njegoseva 52, Belgrade

  • Java Coffee

    Java Coffee

Need a daily shot of caffeine?  Wake up and smell the java.

You can find this cool coffee shop on Senjak away from the crowds.  If you are near the Museum of Yugoslavia or got yourself a place to stay near this place, you should make it your first stop to jumpstart your day. They have few choices of that much-needed caffeine fix for you to enjoy.

  • Beerland

    Beerland

Totally off the tourist map, this local pub is hidden in Banovo Brdo so you’ll have to work a bit harder to find it. Your reward beside good choice of beers will be food to match. Their burgers, sausages and freshly made bread can really be worth the trip.

When the weather is nice there’s plenty of room outside, but inside can be a bit crowded because it’s a small pub. Nevertheless, the atmosphere is nice and relaxed. If you are planning to come in the evening with a group of friends I would recommend coming early or booking a table.

Tip: Try local craft beer Hoptopod (IPA) and chilly sausages with cheese.

  • Druid

    Druid

If you want to get away from the crowds come to this speakeasy bar. Druid really has some special potions made in form of cocktails. One of the hidden gems in Belgrade it’s a small, intimate and sophisticated bar you never knew existed.

Ask for a classic cocktail or find your perfect poison with a help of a bartender. They play old LP’s and sometimes they have live blues/jazz music.

Take note it’s a winter bar so it’s probably closed May-September. Check a green light outside to know if it’s open.

Tip: All bartenders know their stuff, but if available ask for Rasha. You’ll be in good hands.

  • Burger House

    Burger House

After a long day (or night) you want something to fill you up. Maybe some burger?

If you like a good burger you should definitely visit Burger house. They make great and juicy beef burgers.
You should note that it’s a small place but they have few seats outside when the weather is nice.

Their burgers are not on the cheap side but are worth the money.

Tip: Standard burger + cheddar, add honey-mustard or parmesan-garlic sauce. Home made fries are a must!

  • Bagel Bejgl

    Bagel Bejgl

If you’ve been to NY you know that lox and bagels are iconic food there. For a taste of NY in Belgrade you should definitely visit Bejgl bagel store. They make fresh bagels every day and even do catering.

It’s a small and hard to find place but totally worth the search. There are few options to choose from, both salty and sweet.

Bagels taste even better when you find out that this place was made for a noble cause. It is made to support the combat against human trafficking.

Tip: Apart from NY salmon bagel one of my sweet favorites is Nutella Cherry.

  • Pampur bar

    Pampur bar

Looking for a cozy place in Belgrade to sit down and enjoy a glass of wine? Look no further than Pampur bar in Njegoseva street. This small French-style bistro has a great intimate atmosphere with a wine list from all around the world.

You can have wine by the glass so you can try out what soothes your taste. Old school or the new world the choice is all yours. Not sure what to choose? Just ask the sommeliers for an advice and they will be glad to help you. There is a selection of ham, cheese, olives and other nice things to pair with the wine.

Be aware that it’s a small bar so come early or book a table. You can ask for window seats and do some people watching or have a private chat at the table upstairs.

Tip: Want to try something local? Go for Tamjanika or Prokupac.
